Hi, Was at Shoreham Aeromart on Saturday and had what I think is a cracking "ordnance" related find, a mint Mk 1A British Bomb Container as used in most British Bombers during World War Two. At £75 quid I was well pleased :tinysmile_fatgrin_t
Nice to see original stenciling and instruction label, I compared it to parts we found on a Halifax dig that crashed in 1943, the release boxes, brackets, partitions, and even the blue instruction label matches exactly to the parts from this Halifax. I am pretty sure it is pre 1944 because of the mention of the 30ib incendiary which were not used later in the war.
Amazes me how it has survived in such good condition for near on 70 years.
