Towards the end of the war MG08/15 were often fitted with the T anti tank bipod. Although heavier it seems rather stange in terms of economy but presumably they were easier to make than the pressed steel rivetted version.Mark

Hey Mark, The MG08/15 guns and parts are getting plenty scarce. If lucky enough to come across a relic piece, i'd say clean it up and display it as best as possible. There are hodgepodge parts available (used water cans, repro cooling hoses etc) but still hard to come by. Great War Militaria has some misc. small parts and one will run across the occasional sled mount though priced out of this galaxy. Was not quite sure what you were looking for here, but the German WWI era machine gun has always held a fascination for me. In WWI german stuff when I get off the grenade/ordnance track I try to stay in a less expensive catagory, say trench knives. If you'd like me to check GWM and see what they have in the way of MG08/15 parets, i'd be glad top...Dano

No commercial interest, I just happened to spot it looking for something else.

Dano thanks for the offer of any assistance. Like most I still have an extensive 'wish' list but understandably on this Inert Ordnance Forum there appears to be little interest in WWI German MGs.
