From info I have gathered here, I think this is a WW I German K.Z. 14 Fuze. A battlefield relic engraved, "St. Mihlel" and the name "HANZ". It also has a star and crescent engraved on the top. Were any Turkish troops involved in that campaigne? Is that the correct ID for this fuze? What was this fuze used on?
Thanks for looking, comments appriciated! The marking on the steel nose is a 14 on top with a "P.M.A.15". I don't find any factory markings on the lead body except possibly a "41".

Hi Brian,

Yes it looks very much like a K.Z.14 which were used with the 7.7cm HE shells.

The "P.M.A.15" I think is a manufacturing stamp (1915?) as I have a "GR.Z.14" fuse with "W.K.15" stamp directly under it.

Not sure re yr Turkish troops query - but there's always "Google"

It seems there is a lot about the US forces but little of the order of battle of the German forces. I'll have to dig deeper.
