    The photo of the LMB is a little misleading. I have an original copy of the photo which was taken in Liverpool during the Blitz. The photo is a bit of an optical illusion and the scale is a bit out as it makes the mine look slightly larger than it was. In reality the couple are standing closer to the house than the mine, but it looks like they are standing right next to the mine, making it look about the size of a small car! Still, if it landed on your toe it would make your eyes water! In the photo, you can see the lifting lug and the empty fuze pocket where the hydrostatic fuze has been removed. Fortunately for the RMS officer, it looks like the mine had landed face up!
