I have some documents that use KC and it's used for "Kampfstoff" chemical bombs.
Most of them are made after the second world war.
I can't find it in any official German document so I think it starts his own live after the war.
If you look in the book German Bombs and Fuzes from 1944 you will find on page 107 a German KC 250 bomb.

Maybe someone else has more information.

I got this bomb in the understanding that it was a KC, i was at the same place one year ago and Madbomber told me that this bomb was a KC, perhaps Jeff(US) can tell us some more about this item. Ben

Sorry guys, can't help. From the top of my head the largest I've seen and have any data on is the KC500. I pulled a couple of my favorite US sources and didn't find anything larger listed. I also checked some of my historic files on post WWII destruction by the Allies, a few more KC 500s, but nothing larger. I was looking for a Canadian document that did a bit of study on the bombs, but it has been a while since I needed my CW resources and my library isn't that organized yet. I'll do some digging this weekend, but I've got 7 shelves of hundreds of books and documents on CW/BW ordnance, it may take a while - and I still may have nothing.

The pictures shown do have a number of features similar to the KC500s observed, it is certainly possible. I've learned many times over that just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it cannot exist -

If there was another question in the German posts someone will have to translate.

Didn't find pics yet but in the U.S. military intelligence report on Axis chemical weapons they mention the KC 1000. See this link under gasboms.

Strange though, the same document makes no mention of the KC 500.
