British ordnance collection - need identification help

Hello all, I have a collection of British inert ordnance that I am trying to identify. I will also be posted photos of a Japanese collection as well. I added a number to each item in the photo below to make identification/association easier. Please let me know if anyone needs additional photos of a particular number and I will be happy to post. I do have Japanese and British identification manuals, but they are in storage right now(which is why I need your help;-)
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Marshall

    Hi Marshall welcome to BOCN.

I guess I could kick off with some of the easy ones leaving the experts to fill in the gaps:

    2 - 4 inch Naval case?
3 - 3.7 inch anti aircraft (what are the projectile markings?)
    4 - 17 pounder HE
5 - 17 pounder, it looks like the wrong projectile, should have double bands for a 17 pounder
    6 - PIAT
    7 - 17 pounder APDS
    8 - 25 pounder
    9 - 6 pounder 7cwt APCBC
    10 - 6 pounder 7cwt HE
11 - 57mm AP proj in a 7 pounder 7cwt case (the drive band doesn't look quite right for a 6pr7cwt ap proj)
12 - 6 pounder 7 cwt APDS (unusual profile to the projectile, are there any markings on it?)
    13 - 18 pounder
    17 - Bofors L60 HE
    18 - Bofors L60 AP
    19 - 2 pounder anti tank HE

I could have got a couple wrong but it'll give you a good start.

    Dave.

    15) 2" mortar Smoke
    16) 4.2" mortar HE
    20) Looks like a 2pdr HE pom pom with dummy fuse? Any markings on the case base or projectile body?
    21) Looks like a 2pdr APT pom pom (WW2 vintage) Any markings on the case base or projectile body?

    My 2c worth
    Cheers
    Drew

1 The largest British brass case is 6" naval, but it looks too tall for that. Possibly a 5.25" separate load which did have cut outs
    22 Looks like a 4.5in How HE
    23 & 24 Look like 12pr 12cwt naval cases

No. 1 Could be the original 6" Naval which was loaded with black powder. The later cordite case was shorter.

    Falcon,

The early 6" case is circa 585mm tall and the 5.25" is 778mm. The 3.7" case is 675mm so could be wrong but looking at the two side by side I don't think it is the 6" case.

That makes sense, I should have looked up the lengths.
