Gagging a VzZ34B magnetic mine fuze.

I know the 34A fuze was rendered safe initially using a car horn to introduce pressure on the internal diaphragm, then subsequently with a gag which was basically a rod inserted through the hole on the top to depress the diaphragm and hold it in place.
However I have read the larger 34B fuze was modified to stop these two methods being used. There was a hole in the side so the pressure from the horn would be released into the fuze pocket. The hole in the top had a couple of turns in it to prevent the gag depressing the diaphragm. So how was it rendered safe?

Sorry, I was only looking for an answer in general terms not specifics. But point taken.
