    Unusual to see such large amounts of surplus solder on Trench Art - May be they been repaired in the past perhaps?

    Thanks for comments - both items bought from a very well known highly respected dealer ('hundreds' of years ago) so I have no issues with authenticity. The MGC vickers is for sale so if any member interested pse shout before I put it on Ebay.

    Item now resides in a museum, but here is a great image of the Vickers MG.

    Superb items thanks for posting pics,cosidering the age of these artifacts they are well made,a lot of time and effort has gone into making them,I must admit that I find this type of "trench art"very interesting,
