Fuze, Bomb, Nose, M193(T778)

Here is a nice US bomb fuze, I've had it for many years and not really researched what it was produced to go on. A brief internet search didn't help. But I knew some of you guys would be interested in seeing it. I hope someone can tell me what it was typically used for and what era. I assume it is WW II era, but I don't know. Thanks for looking and info would be appriciated. Size is appx 90mm high, body is about 45mm wide and thread base is about 38mm wide. It is common, right hand thread. BKW

I have it used with 2 practice bombs ... the M124 and the M48. Although I am sure there are plenty of others.

Brian Keith,

This fuze was used on the 250 pound practice bombs T52, T52E3, T61E3 an M124 (T68).
It is a modification of the nose fuze AN-M158
