Not been there for a few years and don't recal that display - obviously time for a re-visit when I am next in the area - will be a good excuse for the wife to go back somewhere we have already been!

Also very nice to see such a collection of original authentic Trench Art after the sad examples of contrived rubbish that seems to make up many of the offerings on the dreaded fleabay these days - trouble is the prices it achieves seem to indicate that a lot of collectors are getting taken in by the stuff - you only have to look at the workmanship of the genuine article to see the difference!

However, not totally conviced by the two crude little 75mm fuse egg cups top shelf centre next to the Scnapps bottle - these still seem to turn up in large numbers on French vide greniers and whilst not neccesarily modern, are probably post WWI vintage IMO

I visited the Albert Museum, with my brother and cousin, three weeks ago today, 10th November (we were over there for four days - we had a whole day guided tour of the Somme, attended the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at Thiepval but most importantly for us we spent most of our time re-tracing our Grandfather's footsteps covering his whereabouts during his part on the Somme battlefields). We stopped off for lunch in Albert on Saturday the 10th and then visited the underground museum; we spent almost 2 hours there, it was well worth the four Euros entry fee. You have managed to capture some decent photos of some of the exhibits (better than mine!) so many thanks for that.
