British protruding primer documentation

Does anyone have any documentation showing the various british protruding primers and what case types they were used it?

It would be really helpful if someone could post this.

12pr and 4.7" naval/coastal shells used them ,appear to be a form of vent tube for seperate loading ammo.

Thanks for that kahu1. This explains why some hold only the vent tube and others have the hexagonal igniter.

Apparently the protruding primer was designed for use in bag charge guns ,converted for use as cartridge loaded guns,the 12pr being a fairly long lived example.
