Oradour sur Glane

If you are ever in central France near Limoges Oradour is certainly worth visting. The village has been left as it was after members of the 2nd SS Panzer division "Das Reich" murdered 642 villagers on 10th June 1944 and burned all the buildings. An awe inspiring place.

I have been there twice and you can not image what happened there.
Specially when you go to the cemetery and go underground.
See all the things that are left over from people who lived there.

I too would like to see the rather tragic thought provoking remains of the village,
Don,

I have been to the village 4 times and still find it extremley haunting especially the church where the women and children were imprisoned, had grenades thrown amongst them and the survivors burned to death.
