Darrol if your after making it look aged i tried a little test last week to make an aged internal diagram of a WW1 stick grenade to display with some i got recently. All i did was print the diagram on white paper placed it in a baking tray and poured over half a cup of well mashed tea with no milk in. I then put it in the oven on full temp until the fluid had evaporated. The results were better than i expected it looked quite good and has fooled a few people. Just keep an eye on it when in the oven as it may catch fire if left.
