    Dishonest/misleading description on Ebay!?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3905940648...84.m1438.l2649
    Hmmm,WW1 Era?
    Made in 1917?

I'm sure the fuze is a No 700 rocket fuze that wasn't introduced until WW2,around 1940 if I'm not mistaken.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Andy

I reckon it's "reproduction" trench art (if there is such a term) made up from some genuine ex military items with some other bits and bobs chucked together. Another give away is the high starting price, as most trench art has intrisically little value and starts low. You see a lot of this remanufactured stuff on eBay, particularly well made Vickers machine guns and the like that often sell for big money. This seller may not be the perpetrator, but just an on-seller. I would be very vary of this and similar items. Cheers, Graeme
