New L24A1

Not sure if this is the right place for this but it is described as a rocket!.....anyway a new Rocket hand fired parachute illuminating(L24A1) has started to be used,it has a self contained firing system now,probabley to address the problem with misfires caused with the wire friction pull set up with the previous L12A2.

I'm curious about what the serial number or code on the side means: PSH 07/11 002
Does anyone know what this means? Is it to do with construction date (July 2011?) number of flares? (2)?
I've found the black rubber end caps in isolation sometimes and they have a number embossed on them - does anyone know what that number means?
Was wondering if it had something to do with the duration of the flare or the "best by" date for the charge inside.
