There has been some discussion about whether the Japanese used them, starting with some one
in a Japanese museum saying they didn't or that they were all captured Russian and Chinese.
Well this one is in a book published in 1904 so it's a year before the end of that war and the
handing over of Russian guns etc. The use of the 30 round carriers by two of the crew would
seem to suggest a purchased accessory with each gun and so on. Obviously posed as they are
aim at their own ship.
The Hats are cool, inspired by HMS Pinafore I expect.
