It looks like the "flanges" are keyed into the body of what is effectively a 7,5cm APHE... so do they not separate after leaving the barrel like a sabot? and if not, what are the flight characteristics like?
Are there any penetration figures available of the equivalent combat round to compare against the 7,5cm, 8,8cm and 10,5cm APHE projectiles?
Once the projectile leaves the barrel at several thousand rpm, centripetal forces will probably tend to remove the keyed-in "flanges" probably rather quickly.
