Hear is the next stage of my restoration of this Pre ww1 AP shell.
i could only go by reference from a friend, but hopefully ive got it somewhere near.
originally unearthed in a back garden in Gidea Park Romford one month ago, there was no
base plug and was totally empty except for snails, this was in an area that was a major
WW1 camp and training ground so chances are it was left over or discarded.

similar in shape to a 50kg, there is no wonder you like these Phil!!

great also to have some history behind it, knowing exactly where it was found is wonderful.

Its 42 kg as it sits Kev so you can defo see the similaritys, but im heavily into British and German
projectiles now and have a few coming my way soon so looking forward to that.

This was just a bonus as i reckon it was a practise shell that was fired and used for training purposes

changing thread slightly i managed to get a y fuse this year which cheered me up big time,

and will cover that prety soon.

Best phil
