Swiss Tavaro (?) time fuze identity sought

and here's another odd one. 158mm tall, it appears to use the Tavaro time system but what exactly is it? The horizontal time ring reads to 7 and the vertical scale to 40. The cap has an odd 'tommy bar' fitted.

hmm. that's not really far from a french 30-45 thread. I only know french Dixi mechanical time fuzes with a 30-45 fuze thread. But the fuze thread shape of your fuze is exactly like the Dixi fuze:

yes, they do have a similar look about them. Its odd though that the fuze is so long and almost parallel sided for such a small diameter. And the cross bar is wider (55mm) than the diameter of the fuze so the shell, if thats what it came from, must be at least a medium calibre item.
