M79 Cutaway

You photographed my M78 cutaway, it has the same features, just slightly different dimensions. Seems like there were a couple in Codroipo, IT, but not really picture worthy at the time.

I figured it would be pretty similar, but would like to track one down all the same.

Go out to the old former Black Hill Ord Depot South Dakota, you'll find M 78's an 79's laying all around the old incinerator that was set up to demil them. They are all empty of course.

You can also head up to the demo/deco range and find more 105s and 155s then you can shake a stick at - all have had shaped charges put through them. All in all a a pretty neat site. You stand upon a hill and all you can see for miles and miles are empty magazines. Just take plenty of water with. Cell service is a yes or no situation.

The site is still on the clean up list, but as of last year no one had removed any of the empty ordnance items.
