Made this diorama as a gift for my ex work partner when i worked in ordnance clearance,Mini excavator with dug out 9.45 trench mortar ,locator etc which we used to operate.
This was made by adapting a toy jcb 801 toy (the nearest i could find to the 801.4 we had),adding hand rails lighting etc.The shovel and locator are made from bits of mdf and match sticks turned to size by using a drill as a mini lathe, the 9.45 is made from milliput.Took about a week to make altering many bits several times as i went along but i finally got to the stage where i was happy with the results and most of all so was he
anyway heres a load of pictures of before and after and work in progress
