This was known to everyone who knew it as the Debollocker for the reason that if you stepped on it the bullet went straight through, sole, sock,foot sock, upper and into the nether regions. I hope this is not too indelicate because that was its name to ammunition examiners and infantrymen alike.
You will note that it has a rimless case because it came from a zero length tube which had been hammered vertically into the ground before the operating mechanism was inserted, followed by the cartridge.
