25lb practice bomb

I have no reference that IDs this practice bomb. 25lb 2oz. OAL- 19.5" Dia.- 3"

Appears to have a "bore" length wise, but there's a spent smoke/flare in the tail, so hard to tell. Plus, just inside the nose is full of old dirt.

And some cast numbers/letters.

And last but not least, two opposing lug holes, unthreaded, at the CG. About 1/2" deep.

I'll be straightening the fins. Pouring some PB Blaster down the bore in hopes of breaking loose the signal cartidge.

It's a solid casting of iron/steel with welded on fins.

Hopefully someone will recognize this item and enlighten me on its proper nomenclature and origin. Thanks in advance.

The unthreaded holes are possibly indexing holes, and may just be jammed up with dirt.
Some practice bombs are held in the carrier by braces and don't have lugs, example the small 3lb types.
