Firing Now - A british /US ordnance book

I have just received a copy of Firing now!, tank, anti-tank and self propelled artillery ammunition of UK and USA 1939 - 1945 and although I haven't had time to read it, it looks great.

Its written by Dick Taylor 2016 and isbn is 9788363678913.

The book gives a history of each weapon and ammunition along with photos and drawings but its real strength is the beautiful colour artwork produced by Tony Debski (ordnance archive). There are explanations about how ammunition functions, colour code charts plus information about packaging. A great little book for the price and it deserves a place on any collectors bookshelf.

I received my copy of this book this morning and had quick look through and it is very good, having lots of wartime photos from all kinds of sources and a tremendous number of ammunition pictures. Some of the items, both gun and ammunition are of fairly rare weapons and while you may be expert in certain areas, others may be quite revealing.

Being picky, after recent BOCN Cartridge 2 pr threads, box types on page 54 have been switched. The B167A in marked as C207 and vice versa. The C207 is a Mark 2, because the handles are on the sides and the same applies to the C207 on page 57. Mark 1s had the handles fitted on the same sides as the hinges and hasps.

A very good book indeed. Does anyone know how to contact the author? A google search gave a link to LinkedIn, but I don't use that.

OMG how did I miss this....a definite buy IMHO

My copy of the book arrived this morning courtesy of Amazon.... its a really nice book, just a shame its not 1000+ pages. ;-)
The artwork from Tony Debski which I think we've all seen is absolutely stunning.

This book seems to be out of print now and sellers are asking silly prices for it on Amazon. Lucky for those who bought it in 2016.
