Fuse adapter

Has anyone found a large diameter nut or washer that can be used to replicate the fuse adapter of a ww1 18 pdr? The originals seem to be few and far between.

Shouldn't be that difficult to get a fuze socket. They have a very unusual thread - internal 2" and external 2 1/2" x 14 TPI. It is Standard British Conduit (B.Con) thread and the taps and dies are around but pretty hard to get and quite expensive. I buy relic sockets (eBay, shows and fairs) and clean them out (remove all the Somme mud) with a tap and die. Unfortunately many of the fired sockets have the bottom deck blown out, but once in a shell they look OK.
