I am afraid that the fuze is not the one used for this 20kg bomb.
That should be the ICE-JV-171-7 (unfortunately the search function does not show any results when I type it in, so I can´t tell what thread it is from)

The last picture shows 3 different types of 20kg bombs, the fuzes look more like the one in question, but again not the same.
I wish I could help You more, but these pics are nearly all the data on pre wer fuzes I have.

Bob

I think that the fuze shown by Joe is for the 12 kg HE bomb made by the Skoda factory.

Is the 12 kg Skoda HE bomb also dropped by a cluster bomb? And who knows the weight of the filling of the 12 kg bomb?

Gr. Antoon

10kg not 12kg - the Czech arsenal included a 10 kg bomb - the 10 kg OTLP vz.34 ("Ostra Trhavá Letecká Puma vzor 1934, 10kg, Skoda") equipped with an instant fuze

BTW this photograph from 1948 shows a Skoda bomb in the Armatorium in Delft in the Netherlands (10 kg bomb probably in accordance to the size of the other bombs in the display - I made an enlargement of this one - and the fact that the reinforcing tail band is plain and not ridged)

Would be interesting to know how it arrived there. Luftwaffe re-use in 1940 ? (they had a shortage of bombs and there are for instance mentions of Ju87 using captured Polish bombs with strap suspension during the campaign in France though I have never seen photo evidence )

Hi Dreamk ,

For export to Germany, reductions of fuse to the Czechoslovak bombs for a German fuse were later e-fuse (66). Stocks of manufactured bombs and fuse were taken to Germany shortly after the surrender of the army.

The bombs were produced throughout the war and shortly after the war (for export ).

Fuse for 50-150 kg fragmentation air bombs of construction in 1923.
One of three modifications for bombs from 50 kg, not counting for piercing bombs.

AKON,

Do you have information about the 50 kg and 100 kg bombs.

Regards,

Chris

Hi Mr. jvollenbergIf
you have photos of other fuse or bombs of Czech production, I will help you by determining their pattern or year of construction.
PS: Fuse of picture - government property ?

@Chris
Yes , 50 kg or 100 kg of period 1918-1945. There were a large number, of types of bombs and fuse: serial, experimental or export ....more than just ,,Skoda,, production.
The export versions were different from the versions for the Air Force.
Give specific photos and I'll try to identify them.

Akon - could you identify these bombs and give some details (diemnsions, weights, explosive content, fuze):
The first photograph is from 1927
1927 air bombs (50 kg and 20 kg possibly) he669.jpg
similar bombs are in a Prague Museum
DSC06413 (3).jpg Early Skoda Bomb.jpg

and this one which I understand was a smoke air-dropped bomb - photo from 1936:

The last version of these fuses were patented in July 1939 - A German patent, as Czechoslovakia had been erased following the Munich agreements of 1938 and its main parts (Bohemia and Moravia) annexed by Germany, while Slovakia became a German puppet state .

In 1926, the suspension system was modified (by company Pantofl) to a central suspension suspension with an eye .... the bombs had a new design.

,,Tříštivá letecká bomba 100kg ,,

Context: In 1924,
in reality, the Air Regiments 1, 2, 3, Air Training School had at their disposal: (ie in ammunition depots), Air bombs, 10 kg, 20 kg, 50, kg, 100 kg, 150 kg (standard version) + in addition, there were already produced experimental samples of smal pices 500 kg
( (Training) Cement air bombs 10kg-150 kg (serial). School air bombs 10 kg, 20, kg, 50 kg, 100 kg, 150 kg. 50 kg and 200 kg piercing bombs (equipped with two different lighters) were also tested and used experimentally. 3/4 Sections of aircraft bombs and fuse: see weights for weights above. For teaching, the army had illustrations and posters of air bombs and fuse and a suspension system (an edition consisting of 8 posters for teaching armorers). Furthermore, school "stands" for suspension systems for teaching armorers for practical suspension of bombs + wooden models of bombs with weights, see above. In addition, already in 1924, construction work and throwing from the plane on other types of air bombs began: incendiary, smoke, chemical, container (with fragmentation bombs), etc. In the following years, of course, the situation with the material changes and the number of air ammunition increases ...
