Hi All, I picked this up the other day its a 37X94R or 1 pounder case,it had been lacquered and in a bad way so had to clean it, don't like polishing but had to be done, theirs no marking's at all on it so a job to date i would have thought, but i reckon around WW1, i am also looking for a projectile for it but don't know what type, and suggestions would be much appreciated.
cheers
Andy

This looks like a standard British 1 Pounder. Many of these were unmarked.

As far as I know, these were made from around 1900 into the WW1 years, although I can't say for sure.

could be even older - 1890 onwards, but most likely Boer War era. Any VSM PD 1pr projectile or base fuze pointed, not rare types.

Thanks guys, I wonder what the chances are of finding a projectile for it, love you collection by the way Gspragge :tinysmile_fatgrin_t
