    U.S. 37mm MKl Cutaway Mle 1916

Just picked this off. Normally I avoid this kind of
thing because they are not old (ww1 vintage) that is newly made
or just plain doubtful. This example was not expensive at all and
looks to have good age. There are mounting holes in the projectile
and case to screw it onto a display board, which is what would expect
of an original. It's a bit worn or played with, band missing (if it was left on, but that could be replaced)
and the primer. So are there any experts out there on U.S.WW1 period cutaways
    or another example.
Factory made or Depot made to spec? Corroded inside of case and primer ?
Fired case not cleaned or traces of dummy filler ? I can't imagine using a
dirty uncleaned case wether home made or real ? But what ever the outcome
at $40 including postage I'm okay. The fuze is the scarcer Cartwright MKll.

OK, how about a profit of $1? I will go $41.

Seriously, great piece. I like cutaways. They let you see what is happening on the inside. Thanks for showing it.

it doesn't look factory made to me. Several points are out of center and it shows traces of a saw on the cut surfaces. Factory made examples are normally made with a milling machine.
