K in circle head-stamped shell

Can anyone ID this please.

Round overall length is 48cm.
Diameter of base is apparently 7.5cm.

Only markings on case head are K in a circle and a small diamond.

possibley Kynoch but am certain this K has been covered before, might be worth doing a search on here but could take a while.
 
Hammer price was £120 plus commission fees in auction this morning. I didn't bid because I still don't know what it is. Did anyone on here buy it?
 
Interesting, the round looks like a 6pr but maybe the case is a bit shorter, hard to tell. Certainly looks British so doubt if the headstamp is anything other than British. I have a 6pr with K not in a circle which I take to be Kynoch and also a 47 x 157R Nordenfeldt case with K in a circle alongside a raised W in an indented circular area.
