I have not seen this on the USA steel cased 90mm before, am I right in assuming that the plug at the side of the primer is for "high pressure test" ! any information will be appreciated
The plug is for loading powder from the case head. The projectile was a Fin-Stabilized HEAT round with a long boom. It was the only way to load powder around the tail. The 105 Recoilless Heat was loaded in the same way.
