15 cm german gas shell conversion

Hello all,

Just want to tap into the vast knowledge here and ask if anyone has seen, or has info, on the German 15cm 'gas' shell I have.
As far as I know, this was formerly a HE projectile, Model 1912, later converted for gas.
I was kindly sent a technical illustration by another member some years back. All dimensions match, except for the length, my example being 498mm rather than the 547mm (minus fuse)quoted in the illustration. Also, mine has no filling hole in the ogive.
Other than that its spot on as per the drawing. (which I've tried to attach but to no avail. I'll keep trying...)
Anyone shed some light on this?
Many thanks in advance,
D

Hello,

It's a typical 15cm Gr12 Verst blaukreuz (originaly with a bottle inside), often found on ww1 battlefields.
Not very common in collection.
Nice example. German also made this shell with two bands.

Regards

Thank you very much MINENAZ16, thats exactly what I was looking for.
I'm guessing the bottles for this size of gas shell are pretty hard to find?
Thanks again,
D
