I have no idea what this is for. The colour makes
me think it is some what modern.

The fuze you have is a British No12 Mk 1/L Tracer and Igniter.

Used in 40mm L60 Bofors Ammunition. WW II

Now it makes sense, it sets back fires and starts the tracer and the bits blow out the base of it ~

I guess there's a Bofors cutaway trainer missing this bit out there someplace ~
