Hello,

Interesting picture of smoke hand grenades F2A1.
F2A1 really sound french designation but I think these grenades could be Australian.
These grenades seem to be used as hand grenades and trip flare.

More informations ?

hi Minenaz16

I can't remember when I took that photo, but those are my smoke grenades. I can confirm that they are Aussie made and designed for use with trips as well as by hand. Now obsolete and quite hard to find

Hi,

Is there any documentation available somewhere ? (or at least a drawing)

Hi. Rick Landers discussed it briefly in his book " 'Grenade' British and Commonwealth Hand and Rifle Grenades". Cheers

I like the mention "similar to the Australian produced beer can" !

And SMAREX (St. Marys Explosives) confirms description of TimG.
