I'm told this may be a piece of sectioned ordnance . The main body is alloy & measures 22cm x 11cm . Any clues appreciated . Thanks , Siegfreid .
 
The "nipple" looks very similar to a common quick connect air line fitting. Which may make that piece some sort of system accumulator. Which may or may not be ordnance related.
 
I was about to say the same thing as I have such connectors in the workshop.

Russian SPM is a magnetic time delay mine. Your cutaway has a similar shape, but that's all.
