Can anyone identify what these are,

the cut one is 22.57mm dia and the RH one is 23.56 top half, 22.6 on the narrow end and 28mm long. I think they are some kind of Blank, noise simulator for a shot gun or mine? for use in training. Markings on the large cut case is ?? Z LOT ? 4?, (?? Z LOT 2 43). The whole one has no marking at all. The drill round is a 5.56 for size comparison.

the cartridge is located at the top of the tail tube on the PIAT bomb,when fired the spigot rod strikes this cartridge which creates a rocket effect in the tube and propels the bomb.
