Hello everyone,

An old neighbour, who also collects military items from the second world war gave me the following cartridge of a 15 cm vz.25 howitzer.
I like the condition it is in, but I have trouble finding out the meaning of the ink stamps.

I'm hoping that you guys can help me out with it!

It says: "1.5/12 DP vz.16 S5/35+ 2.2/18 DP vz.16 S 2/35"

It is the designation of the powder charge.
1,5/12 and 2,2/18 are dimensions
vz.16 (mark 16) powder type
S5/35 and 2/35 series of powder

This designation was standard in pre WW2 Czechoslovak army.
So the question is, if it is common to find the cases in this condition.
Not many around here.

Bob.
