    Resin Mills in auction

    I dropped into an auction in Nottingham this morning and had a look at the Mills grenade, ink-well and Bakerlite dish shown in the attached Lot (auctioneers photo).The Lot sold to an online bidder for £110 plus fees, so that's around £138.The buyer might be in for a surprise when he/she receives the items, as the Mills grenade is a resin replica!The lever, striker, base-plug and body are cast in one piece. Very difficult to see this from the photo.

    That's a bit naughty on the Auctioneers part, well spotted though.

    Yes, though I have seen the mounted inkwell Mills sell for over £100 so not a complete disaster.
