Bernards Manual of Grenades

While searching through an online militaria "store", looking for that 3Pdr tigbrand mentioned, I ran across the Bernards Grenade Manual item. There was no price, probably sold, but the description mentioned it was "much sought after". We all like to think our collectibles are much sought after, and I'm curious whether that is true in this case. I've had it for a few years. Just now dug it back out to make sure it was the same. Mine's in better condition than the one advertised. The question is: is it really that sought after?

There are quiet a number of very good quality grenade manuals, including the three books by Delhomme, the excellent book by Skennerton, Darryl Lynn's book on US grenades, Dr Lorenz Scheit's book on German pistol fired grenades, the two books by Micheal Heidler, the two books by D Mitev and the list goes on (about 18-20 in all). Bernards manual is one of a collection which could be referred to as a general issue pamphlet and there are about four different ones by different authors. It is not so much that this item is sought after as there are quite a few of them around on the market for sale at any one given time but a specialist grenade collector tries to obtain one copy of every reference book. If you categorised all the boks into three rankings, excellent, good and ok, Bernards would be the latter. Nevertheless most grenade collectors as I said strive to have one in their collection for a multiple reference perspective. It has a max value in mint condition of around £35. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that info/explanation. I noted, after posting this, the online store listings included the the words rare, exceptionally rare, and the occasional much sought after on nearly every item. Still, a $30-$40 value ain't bad for this little manual.
