Hey Earni,

I'm afraid I can't help with any info, but could you check the projectile's diameter. If it is not 5,3 cm might just be a 5,7 cm K.Gr.m. P. (in which case I'd gladly buy it from you if you were wiling to let go of it).

regards,

Menno

Hi Menno
Projectile is 51.8mm above and below drive band
band diameter is 53.2mm
overall length of projectile with its cap 206mm
I am 100% sure its a 5.3cm as I have tried it in all my 5.3cm cases

I have this for you.

thanks guys for your comments and photo's, this still remains a mystery round, I can not find any stamps on it which is unusual in itself, Mmmmmm

its seems its just a smaller version of the 5.7cm that menno mentioned, I have a drawing of the 5.7cm but not the 5.3cm, thanks guys

Hi,
I got pictures of a projectile I suspect to be 53 mm Gruson
I did not find the exact pointy form in the documents or links.

Best Regards, Bob

Just a guess - this shell could also be made by Hotchkiss. They had such pointed fuzes and they made cannons in many different calibres.
