Hi Guys
Can anyone ID these permanent linked clips please?
7.92 fits perfectly (but so do others).
I think German but this is a new one & I thought I had examples of them all!!
Permanentt pins fitted & stamped with Cyrillic looking? `Z`.

Thanks

This is a german machine gun belt for the aircraft MG17.
The german designation for this belt is "Gelenkgurt 17 n.A.".

Sorry for the bad picture.

Hello,
disintegrating link have a different designation?
regards

Yes....."Gurt 17/81"......this belt/links are for the MG81, MG81Z and MG17

Yes Rigby - I have this type which is why the fixed ones had me stumped!
I was fairly sure they were Grerman.

Why did they have such a variety of belts/links for the same weapons?
Must have cost a lot regarding the machining of the weapon parts as the mechanism between disintegrating & fixed is major.
