L15A1 155mm Questions

This weighs in at 43KG's, stampings look like L15A1 crossed out and RLB42 plus another 42 near the top. Fuze is BN 390MK5.
I'm guessing it's from a FH70 ?? Any ideas ?

Shell 155mm HE L15A1 is for the FH70 but is compatible with other equipments.
In this case the L15A1 has been barred out because it is an in-service descriptor and Royal Laboratories wanted to use it in a trial and this is probably Shell 42 in the trial series.
That fuze has no place on any 155mm HE shell.
Did someone put it on or was it part of the trial?
If you look closely you should find that the shell empty body is to design SX1122.

Thanks for the info, the fuse was the headache as all the searches relating to that were coming up with 105mm, 76mm, 20pr and 3 inch smoke shells etc. It just came with that fuse, no idea of history.

Looks better in OD with stencils.
