French 30-06

I have seen a picture of a French 30-06 with a dark blue ( probably purple) primer. The entire primer is purple not just the primer annulus. Is there any significance to the coloured primer?

Cartridge is a ball round.

Head stamp is
TE 3-53 D 7.62
