Must be lonely at the top with such superb quality modelling
Thanks for posting.

Outstanding work. However, as the owner of a fully operational and restored M8, I do have two small points of which you should be made aware. I have only ever seen the tow cable attached as in this photo. On your model, the tow cable is wrapped around the levers used to hold down the engine hatches; these levers move, and it would be quite impossible to open the engine hatches with the cable in this position. There is supposed to be a bracket on the back deck to hold the other eye on the tow cable. Also, the inside of the turret should be olive drab. There are photos of the inside of the turret in the basic manual that show this well. It is also interesting to note that most the combat photos of M8's show them without any fenders in the field. By my own experience, I can verify they are very easy to damage.

Thanks for the corrections and photos, if/when I make another of these I will attach the tow cable in the correct place and paint the interior correctly. I probably should have done more research rather than just follow the kit instructions regarding the interior colour.

Did someone say M8 Greyhound? I drove around in these on occasion while doing some work down in Colombia a few years ago. We had quad fifties mounted on them and diesel engines. They were " gifted" to Colombia by our DOS. It is not clear who did the mods, DOS or Colombia, but this one was dated 1944.I can say, when those quad .50's went into action, time stopped. They used them against the FARC in some of our remote locations....and I had always thought quad fifties were AA guns. A lot of strange things down there, from the knee mortars to the ten tube revolving drum 40mm launchers. M8- be aware there are literally tons of parts available down there, I have seen crates full of " stuff".
