    Japanese Type-97

This is my first attempt at anything larger than a small arms rounds but wanted to give it a try. A couple of big challenges, first not wanting to destroy display inerted sample so I have to round up bit piece parts to complete it. Second, I am not a machinist by any means.

    Japanese Type-97
Cast iron with a black painted body that is serrated to insure maximum fragmentation.
    Primary load is TNT.
Time delay is 4 to 5 seconds.

    Over-all length 3.75 inches
    Diameter is 1.97 inches
    Weight (approximately) 1 pound

Color code for the explosives/energetic material was taken from "Handbook of Japanese Explosive Ordnance OPNAV 30-3M dated 1945"
