Hello,

Does anyone know designation of this inert fuze on this 76mm drill cartridge M15 ?

Regards

US manuals I have say 3-inch M15 drill cartridge is fitted with the dummy M59 fuze, and it doesn't look like the one you show...

Not near any books to search, but it looks like one of the US Navy dummy fuzes. Probably has a MK number.

Found some pictures of a crate for these 3" M15B1 drill cartridges, says "WITH FUZE MK22 MODEL 3." Looks like there might possibly be some of these drill cartridges with M54 fuzes too, going by the marking on the crate underneath.

02-01-0022-01, Fuze, MT, MK 22 Mod.3, US, 1,.jpgThis is the dummy version for the MK 22 Mod.3 (mech.time) which was the only one in the various mods (mods 1-6), made of brass with a round tip. Attached the "life" version MK 22 Mod.3 (of course inert!) from my collection.
