18 Sim Afv Gunfire Flash And Sound

Just dragged this out of the shed was given it a while back thought the tins inside would be ideal for screws etc.
It is marked 18 SIM AFV FLASH AND SOUND
Contents 18 EMPTY aluminium containers packed in 2 styrofoam trays ,each container marked..
EXPLOSIVE SIM AFV GUNFIRE FLASH AND SOUND (SIMFIRE) L18 PW 3/85 019
other than what it says on the box and containers i have no idea what the contents(simulators) should look like ,if anyone knows and would like to add further info and pictures please feel free to do so....thanks for looking spotter

Ok got this further info with the help of another BOCN member.

The Simulator Gunfire AFV Flash and Sound L18A2 is manufactured by Pains
Wessex and simulates the firing signature of the main armament of the Challenger​

Tank. It is fired from a Flash Generator mounted on the turret of the tank.

The simulator is loaded into the flash generator of the attacking tanks which
is linked to the main armament switches. The flash generator is capable of
housing 24 simulators and is mounted on the forward left hand side of the turret.
When the attacking tank fires the main armament at a target tank, the simulator
functions to provide the noise, flash and smoke of the 120 mm tank gun, simultaneously a laser aligned with the barrel is beamed to the target tank causing a simulator Projectile Burst Orange Smoke L15 to function when the gun is on target.
