cannon colour schemes

First of all what country are you referring to. You mean the guns themselves or the projectiles. If you are talking about guns i assume in black for a iron made gun or brass or bronze gun in its natural colour. I assume there was no camouflage back then especially when the uniforms where bright colours.
 
thank you for the feed back. Currently restoring a cannon and will probably opt for black barrel and grey wood and wheels
 
Nationality and gun type are probably the most relevant factors. If you look at images of restored cannon carriages a lot are green or grey, with ironwork painted black. A specialist like John Slough could probably advise you, or ask the conservators at one of the museums with an artillery collection.
 
you could try asking/looking at The Ordnance Society as they are THE cannon people
