the auto loader has a feed guide above it. Your part is the left hand holder with the feed pawls. These act as stops to keep the rounds feeding in as they are inserted.

There are two rows of spring loaded pawls on each side of the auto loader. One set it fixed to act as a "ratchet" to prevent the rounds jumping up and out of the auto loader, the other set oscillates up and down to draw the rounds downwards, through the feed rollers, and onto the loading tray for ramming. Yours is one of the fixed set.
