This is a documentary mini series by Oliver Stone https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1494191/. As it is true about the past, present and future, American history is highly interwoven with world history. To quote Ambrose Bierce, "War is God's way of teaching Americans georgaphy". I only watched 1 episode about WWII yet, but I did not see anything wrong with it, and learnt a couple of new facts. It definitely gives a different angle to the official US mantra.
