I did pick up this; 1942 Cordite Carrier

I have avoided these for years, either stupidly priced, missing the top, beaten up,
too big and or a dubious coat of arm decal applied to make them look decorative.
But this one was clean, complete, fine condition, not too large and a fair price.
$95 = 54 Pounds.

What particular gun used these, this seems for something around 3", I thought smaller calibers used casings?

I also bought 6 old Mahogany Lawn Lawn balls, these clean up a treat, have a very rich surface and grain,
I'll stack'em like cannon balls ~ :xd:
